Glacier Bay Cruising

We spent Monday cruising Glacier Bay and it was magnificent! Since we were just cruising we took it easy and really enjoyed the many amenities on the ship. The ship picked up the National Park Rangers off Bartlett Cove in the morning. They provided detailed commentary as we cruise into Glacier Bay. They stayed on the ship for the whole day until around 7:00pm when they were dropped off again. We went to the Park Rangers Glacier Bay Talk in the morning to learn more about Alaska's National Parks.
Instead of eating in the buffet, we had lunch in the main dining room.

After lunch, our ship went very close to the Margerie Glacier.

We just enjoyed the gorgeous views all afternoon, both on deck and inside the lounge.

Waterfalls from the towering mountains.

Dinner--King crab as appetizer

Our favorite dessert--creme brulee

Because of the extra expenses on the land tour, we opted for an inside cabin this time.

It was cold and windy as we cruised from Glacier Bay in the evening through Icy Strait.
