Places in Southern Taiwan

Leaving Fairfields Hotel going back to Chiayi, we visited a socks factory on the way which is owned by a family member of BIL. This factory holds tours for visitors, and it turned out to be quite interesting.

Oh, yes, they manufactured the scarves with the national emblem every year.

Toys made from socks.

Of course, we got some nice gifts to go, including the scarf with the national emblem.

For lunch, we went to this road side restaurant for some famous clay-pot chicken.
It's basically roasted chicken in clay pots. Not cheap either, comparing to the $5 Costco chickens.

The clay pots

$600 NTD per chicken, that's like $20 USD

After getting back to Yenshui, we went to check out this historical building in town.

Obviously, it is a very old building but with unique detailed features everywhere.
