2nd Sea Day

Second Day at Sea -- February 22, 2015

We had an added day at sea on this itinerary because NCL cancelled the port of call at Tunisia after some of their Jewish passengers were hassled at that port on a previous cruise. At first we were kind of unhappy about the change but it turned out that it was a welcomed change. To have an extra sea day just to relax and enjoy the amenities on board was wonderful!

I had an omelette for breakfast at Cagney's.

There was an End of Cruise Blow Out Event at Jasmine between 10:00~noon where they had excellent sales. ChC bought a maroon color NCL bathrobe and a bath towel that goes with it. I bought a couple of NCL T-shirts for $4.99 each. These were shirts with pictures of ports that we went in 2012, like Alexandria, Cyprus, Haifa, etc. Maybe they had to get rid of them since they don't sail those ports any longer but they were fine for us. Many items were at 50% off. They also gave out raffle tickets to those who purchased over $50 but they were not consistent in handling the tickets.

The four of us enjoyed another fabulous lunch at Cagney's again. ChC, DD, and ET went to the buffet and also Grand Pacific to satisfied their appetites. Just loved their shrimp cocktails.

And the grilled asparagus and mushrooms was delicious!

Soup of the Day

We attended the B2B cruise talk in the afternoon to find out what we needed to do on turnaround day back in Civitavecchia.

We had a late dinner again at Grand Pacific.

Seemed like a little quieter that evening.

Our favorite waitress--Joycelyn. She took care of us that evening and what a huge difference it made.

I was surprised at how delicious the fried chicken tasted. Normally I wouldn't even consider ordering fried chicken in the main dining room.

I think this was the pound cake, huge portion.

I had never seen a towel snake before!
