Fun and Food on Sea Day Before Debarking

34-Day Cross Country RV Trip + 7-Day Caribbean Cruise 2022
Day 23: At Sea
May 20, 2022

After Grand Turk, we had one more sea day before getting back to Port Canaveral. We are the ones who do not mind sea days at all. With so much to do and eat on board, it really makes the long sea days seem short. It is also packing day, making it for us to treasure the moment before getting back on land.

This will be our last chance for the Sea Day Brunch and off we went to Palm on deck 6. The wait was a little longer than usual, I guess because many people are taking the opportunity to have a nice brunch before getting off tomorrow. MOR had the steak and egg again. Christian had the cake thing and a salmon salad. I chose the French toast and fried eggs with pork sausage. I also ordered the shrimp salad and tuna salad. Everything was good.

After breakfast we went up to deck 18 to take more pictures. That was where the mini golf, basketball court, bolt, ropes course, and all the other activities are located.

Then we went to the top deck for our last walk-around. We just hate to leave this beautiful ship but life goes on, we need to get back to reality.

Loved the Big Chicken, but that'll have to wait til tomorrow. We were so stuffed by the Sea Day Brunch that we had to give this up for the day.

What a wonderful playground!

No, we still did not get on the real thing.

Surprise that there were not that many people even on a sea day.

We will certainly miss this ship.

Today, MOR wanted to try Chibang for their noodle but son did not want to go. He wanted another one of the Guy’s burgers so we went our separate way.

Check-in for Chibang seemed to be a little problematic. After checking in that said a 10-minute wait, we waited 25 minutes with no table number. I went to the desk and asked, right at that moment my phone was notified for table 616. There were plenty of empty tables inside with people all standing outside waiting. Don’t understand what was going on. Anyway, we ordered our food by filling out the papers. Each person can order one bowl from each order form. MOR got the shrimp rice noodle in broth. I got the stir-fried beef with wide noodle. Then, we shared a shrimp burrito bowl as salad. The waiter told us that the special orders to choose your own bowl, will take around 45 minutes. Fortunately, our regular bowls did not take that long. They were OK, not bad and not particularly super. I kind of like the burrito bowl, which I think we could make it at home easily.

Then we went up to deck 16, where MOR found the sticky rice wrap and had one. MOR said the sticky rice wrap was not that good. Kind of strange, he said.

Strange sticky rice. Oh for those who have not had one before, make sure you remove the wrapping first before you eat the inside content, just like a tamale. I have seen YouTube where someone just ate the whole thing, leaf and all. Fortunately that person took one bite and decided that it was not good. That'll give you a really bad taste and definitely not good for your stomach.

Some more random pictures as we walked back to our cabin.

We had to pick up our luggage tags for tomorrow.

Last dinner at the Palm.

Baked Alaska

One more melting chocolate cake.

We will need to leave the cabin before 8:30 tomorrow and leave the ship before 9:30. Hopefully our RV is still in one piece so we can get our way back home.
