Central Taiwan

(Please read this post from bottom up.)

Outside of the Paper Dome.

...inside the bowl is a map of central Taiwan.

A big rice bowl...

Banana Cake and Latte

Trade in the ticket stubs as money to enjoy a little refreshment.

What do you see?

Ceiling

People left their wishes on the paper strings hanging around the dome.

Having a quiet moment on Good Friday inside the Paper Dome.
This Paper Dome was built in Japan as a temporary Catholic Church after the big earthquake. Ten years after the earthquake it was transported to Puli as a reminder of the 921 earthquake.

Inside the Paper Dome, Puli

This is called "President's Fish"--suppose to be President Chiang's favorite dish.

Enjoying some aboriginal specialties

This little boat was used by President Chiang Kai-Shek when he came to Sun Moon Lake years ago.

A close-up look at Sun Moon Lake.

Teachers Hostel

A copy cat hotel. This hotel is as expensive as the real one in Dubai, at least $1,000USD a night. MOR said he would rather spend the money on a week-long cruise.

Interesting building

Cute!

Canoe on display

Beautiful!

Visitors Center--Sun Moon Lake

Outside of the train station--they also have a Believe It or Not!

Old depot

Sleepy cat at the depot.

I think Jiji was badly damaged in the 921 earthquake.

An old train depot in a little town--Jiji.
