cont. Carnival Splendor 2008 -- Genoa to Dover

We got off the ship pretty early and took the free shuttle to town. (I believe there is a fee for the shuttles now.) Once we got off the shuttle we purchased the HOHO bus ticket for the day (20 Euros pp). This HOHO bus system works very well here in this city. 

This was on the blue bus.

Then we changed to the red bus to go to Sargrada Familia.

It was very crowded and we are definitely not line people so we decided not to go inside.

From Sargrada Familia we walked about 10 blocks back to catch the blue bus again. This line took us all around the important sights in the city, including the Olympic Village and Montjuic. We did not get off and we enjoyed the sights just sitting at the top of the bus. I was busy looking at everything and did not take enough pictures.

We finally got off at the top of Las Ramblas and walked down.

We took the shuttle back to the ship at the bottom of Las Ramblas.

It's elegant night and captain's reception but the captain was no where to be seen!
