Frankfurt to Rome on Luthansa Business

11/01/2012 (Thursday) Frankfurt to Rome on Luthansa Business and Rome at Night

Business class on the flight from Frankfurt to Rome was just like economy except they left the middle seat vacant. This is what they do to all the flights operating within Europe. Again, we were flying Luthansa. Boarding at Frankfurt was quite chaotic. Everybody just crowded around the gate trying to get ahead so even if you have priority boarding you still have to fight through the crowds. One good thing is that there is a drink machine hidden away near the gate area if you can find it. Just look behind a wall or column you may be in luck.

it took a while to get our luggage because several planes used the same carousel

from 3rd floor in terminal 3 we took the long walkway that leads to the airport Hilton

We are Hilton Honor Gold, so we were upgraded to the Executive Level (Level 5) with a business King non-smoking room with access to the Executive lounge and free wi-fi access. Breakfast was also included for the next day. A code was given to each of our electronic device so we can access the wi-fi. It is very convenient if you want to be close to the airport. We needed to be here because we have to pick up our friends the next morning to go to the cruise terminal together.

After a visit to the lounge and enjoyed some snacks and beverages, we took the four o'clock shuttle to Rome.

The Hilton offers a free shuttle that goes to Rome every two hours. Which proved to be very convenient but it can get crowded, so try to get in line early, if there is a line. Four people were left behind because they couldn't get on.

Then it started to rain. We tried to look for a place to have a meal but we were tired so going back to the hotel and find some lounge food was the best idea. Fortunately, we got back in time before they close up.
