Day 5 - August 18, 2017 (Friday)
Boeing Future of Flight Aviation Center and Tour, Mukilteo
Our plan was to go to Everett and stay at ILP/JLP's house for the weekend. After a relaxing morning in Auburn visiting Muckleshoot and a nice lunch at the restaurant in the 99 Ranch Market mall, we headed out to Seattle. AT made reservations for us at the Future of Flight Aviation Center and Tour at the Boeing Plant in Mukilteo for 3:30. We got there early enough and had leisure time to get our tickets, locked everything in the lockers and waited for the tour. It's not a cheap tour and you need to book the tickets ahead of time in order to get in. No cameras, cell phones, or any other devices are permitted to get in, in fact, we had to lock all our possessions in the lockers provided before leaving on the tour. Therefore, I do not have any photos of our tour there.
First, we watched a short movie in the theater where they already separated us into two groups for the two buses. After the movie, we boarded the bus and headed out to the factory with a tour guide. Everything was very well organized. As we got off the bus, another group that finished that part of the tour would get on so it was a continuous moving of groups. It was certainly very impressive to see how they assemble several planes inside the huge building at the same time. This tour lasted for 90 minutes with us getting on and off the bus three times. Lots of walking up and down the stairs and through the 'tunnels'. It was a great learning experience but I think visiting once is enough.
We were taken back to the gift shop area at the end of the tour with a free poster in hand. After getting our things from the lockers, we went down to the gallery where some more interesting displays were available for visit. We were also offered a complimentary photo with one of the factory backgrounds here. Below are some photos taken inside the gallery.

Then we went up to the rooftop for a view of the field but there was an event going on there and we couldn't get to the side of the rooftop we wanted.

After the interesting tour at Boeing, we went north to Everett. It was so nice to see ILP, JLP, and Evalyn again! We enjoyed a wonderful salmon and prawn dinner that they prepared for us in their backyard. It was quite cold for us southern Californians on this August evening though.

Day 6 - August 19, 2017 (Saturday)
After a great breakfast of sausage and potato skillet that Jonny made at the world's most wonderful 'bed and breakfast', Jonny left for his Open House duty and we went off to the Seattle Premium Outlets in Marysville for a couple of hours. There were a lot of shoppers on this Saturday and the parking lot was very full. It was still fun to do a little shopping amidst the heat.
Then we went to meet with Jonny who was closing down on the open house. He did a wonderful job on this house and it was certainly very attractive together with ILP great work of staging it.
Then we also checked on the condo that they just signed a lease out. He didn't have to do much here because there was a fire in that complex and the association paid for all the repairs.
The last place we went to is the project that Jonny is working on now. OMG! So much work has to put into this place but I am sure Jonny will turn this house around just like all the other ones he had done. Can't wait to see the end result of this.
Ole Soul Creole
Dinner was at the Ole Soul Creole. This small restaurant right near the J Ramen and Sushi where we had dinner last year seemed to be quite popular in Everett. We made reservations but still had to wait outside the street for them to get ready. It was also a long wait to get our food as Eva was getting restless. Food was good though, especially their corn bread and I am not a corn bread person.

Day 7 - August 20, 2017
We woke up to the wonderful smell of breakfast this morning. Jonny was making omelette-to-order in the kitchen with all kinds of wonderful ingredients. What a great way to start the day! JLP and ILP had to attend a party this morning so we went off to do some touristy stuff on our own.
Pike Place Market
This is a 'must-do' for all tourists in Seattle and we wanted to make sure our visitors from Taiwan got a glimpse of this place in the city. It was definitely very busy on this Sunday morning and we couldn't believe our luck as we drove up and found an empty parking space right next to the market waiting for us.

This place is getting more and more popular. We never had to get in line before.

We wanted to go to the Ballard Locks to look at the fish ladders but after a few circles trying to find parking with no success, we decided we might as well go back to Auburn and rest a little before dinner since we have a long drive tonight.

V Garden, Kent
For our last dinner in Seattle, we invited all our family members to join us at the V Garden inside the 99 Ranch Market mall in Kent. We come here almost every time when we are in Auburn for some authentic Chinese food. I have to say the quality of food here is getting better each time. It was so wonderful to see everyone one more time before we head back down to California. I know the kids will look different the next time we see them, so I treasured every moment that we had with them.

We then went back to Auburn and packed for our drive down to Albany that evening to avoid traffic in the morning. We have been seeing signs on the freeways warning traffic delays on Monday morning for the eclipse. I read that thousands of people will be driving down to Oregon from Washington. We did not want to risk it and planned on leaving before 9:00pm that night.
