NCL Jewel 21-Day Transpacific Cruise Tokyo to Seattle
May 25, 2018 (Friday) -- At Sea
Our last day on board the Jewel. We should leave this beautiful ship tomorrow when she docks in Seattle. This has been a totally wonderful experience crossing the Pacific Ocean, visiting amazing ports in Japan, Russia, and Alaska. I doubt that there will be a repeat of this incredible itinerary and for the real bargain that we had gotten on this cruise. We have also met some wonderful new friends during this trip and I am sure we will have tons of fond memories to keep in our life time.
Waking up a little late since this was a sea day.
Yep, we definitely crossed the Pacific Ocean.
Our next port will be Seattle, Washington.
Our last day to enjoy our balcony after breakfast.

Chin Chin, Again!
We were to meet our new friends for lunch today, before we go on our separate ways tomorrow. They decided that instead of eating at Tsar's, we would have one more meal at Chin Chin.
I wanted to try their Singapore noodle because I really enjoyed the ones they had on Getaway. This was just OK because they used the wrong kind of noodle. Instead of the thin rice noodle, they used the glass noodle which altered the real taste and texture of the dish. Otherwise, I'd say this was a good choice.
Combination fried rice again, a little better this time.
Beef chow fun. Wrong noodle again and wrong ingredients.
Char Siu Noodle was the safer choice.
OK food but great fellowship.
Bridge Viewing Room, Deck 11
After lunch we realized that we have not been up to the bridge viewing room on deck 11 throughout this cruise. When we were on the Jade, our penthouse suite was right near there and we always made it a point to see what went on there as often as we could. This would be our last chance to go there.
They even had a couch there for people who would like to spend more time there!
It shows that the Jewel had been to many ports around the world.

I used to think that a balcony is not needed for Alaska cruises because of the cold weather. I have changed my mind on that. With the ever changing views, and the up-close observation of wildlife, it is important to have a balcony when cruising Alaska. I can't imagine being in an inside cabin when there's so much going on out there. We don't leave our glass door open, but we did leave our curtains open so we could see what's outside first thing in the morning even though we don't sit out there all day.
Last Dinner at Tsar's
One more dinner at Tsar's and we would need to get back to reality. Our kitchens are waiting for us when we get home. No more looking through the menu and picking out what we want. Cooking and cleaning will be the facts of life again. Oh, well...and I forgot to take pictures of the menu on this final dinner!

Our new friends Keith and Emily came by to say 'Good-bye' before we leave the ship the next morning.
A great couple who went on tours with us at several ports. They are experienced travelers themselves and even a few weeks after we came home they were still on the road.
Reflection on all the good food we had on this cruise.
Our final task for the day was -- packing! It's always the hardest part of cruising but we got it done before midnight when we put them all outside our door. Jellica had sent some 'priority' luggage tags for us to use and she will be escorting us off the ship when we are ready tomorrow morning. No towel animals for this evening.
