November 26, 2012 (Monday) -- Tsukijishijo, Kamata, Shinjuku
The InterContinental is just one metro stop away from Tsukijishijo, so we decided that we should go there before moving on to our next hotel in Kamata. We figured that they are now only allowing certain number of people or tour groups into their auction we didn't have to get up early to see that. It was really easy to get there and the market is just around the corner of the subway station. These signs posted right at the entrance were kind of funny... but good warnings.

Lunch was at the basement of the building back at the Daimon Metro Station. Noodles made on the spot. Can't get any fresher than that. You picked out how you want your noodle (from the pictures shown) and you pick out the fried food you want to go with it.
We were able to rest until 4PM before checking out of the InterContinental because of our Platinum status for Priority Club. Then we got a taxi and moved to the Vista Kamata Hotel in Kamata using United points. The reason I picked this hotel was thinking that they provide free shuttles to the Haneda Airport. Well, that was the first thing we found out after getting there. They only provide free airport shuttles in the early morning, before 7am. Fortunately, the airport buses stop at the JR station about 10-minute walk away, so it wasn't too bad afterall.
This hotel is no Hilton or InterContinental as you can see from the pictures but a nice budget hotel that is convenient to the JR station. It is also close to shops and restaurants so it is not a bad place to be. The room was small but we managed for that one night.
For dinner, we went back to Shinjuku and had sushi again at the same restaurant. We were happy with another great meal.
By now, we knew how to transfer using the JR and subway. One last time back to Hamamatsucho Station and Daimon Station.
