Carnival Inspiration -- Day 2 Catalina Island, January 20, 2015
When we go to Catalina Island, we mainly just stay in Avalon instead of venturing out to other parts of the island. For one thing, we don't like to rush around and I have read reviews that are not favorable to other sights on the island. ChC spent a few days on the other side of the island on a camping trip with the school when he was in sixth grade and he was fine just walking around town each time we were there. Having been in Avalon a few times, we still like to get off the ship early to avoid the crowds.
Reaching the pier in Avalon on the tender.
A local tender, quite big in size.
Nice and quiet
Enjoying this space without the crowds.
Artists at work
Casino--not a casino casino, it's a gathering place.
Checked out this tiny Von's Express.
Then we were back on the tender and returned to the ship.
Weather was not at its best on this winter day.
Leaving Avalon one more time.
