Day at Sea -- December 5, 2016
This would be our final full day on the Volendam, a day at sea sailing near Hainan Island of China toward our destination, Hong Kong. It was kind of sad coming to the end of this cruise but we were also excited about Hong Kong. This will be BIL and SIL's first visits to Hong Kong and I was eager to show them this amazing city where I was born many, many years ago.
Main task for the day was to pack our bags. Other than that, we just went on our sea day routine like attending one more Bible Study session with fellow Christians, walking around the ship one more time and enjoying our final meals on board the ship.

Then we attended the Mariner's Luncheon at the Rotterdam. They had a simple menu for all the Mariner's guests. Quite a few people attended this luncheon. We were a little late getting in and were brought to a table for six. We were late enough that nobody else joined our table as we were enjoying our lunch.

ChC had the Silk Road Braised Lamb Ossobuco.
Both MOR and I had the Pan Seared Baby Barramundi. Barramundi is my favorite kind of fish.
Thai Peanut Cheesecake for dessert.
They were serving a seafood lunch at the Lido, we just had to check it out after the Mariner's Luncheon.

Last dinner at the Rotterdam and it was the Culinary Council Dinner.

We were able to get all our stuff packed and out the door before midnight. What a relief!
