I did not sleep well the night before but still had to get up early. We had to tender in to Santorini today so after breakfast I had to get in line to get our tender tickets. There was already a line when I went there at 7:15am. Fortunately we got our tickets for tender #2. Santorini here we come!
We were suppose to be in Athens today but NCL changed the itinerary because of a strike there. We were also scheduled to be here next week.
Looking back at our ship while on the tender.
There are three ways you can reach Fira from the port: by cable cars, by donkeys, or by walking.
Long line for the cable cars.
It took us about half an hour to get through the line.
Just before reaching the entrance to the cable cars.
Oh, my goodness, how far up are we going?
Yikes!
Survived!
Cable cars
Outside the cable car station in Fira.
After meeting up with Jonathan, Celia, and Caitlin, who rode the donkeys up, we walked to the bus station to take the bus to Oia. This is a very busy bus stop.
Unorganized, to say the least.
These are the buses.
We finally boarded the bus and on the way to Oia.
Beautiful alleys in Oia.
Oia is the most photographed spot in Greece.
Absolutely gorgeous!
Having lunch at a cafe.
What a view!
Walking around Oia is enjoyable. It was like being in a dream world until it was time to catch the bus back to Fira.
