Sea Days on NCL Jade

11/11/2012 & 11/12/2012 (Sunday and Monday) Two Sea Days

It was really good to have two consecutive sea days so we can enjoy the ship and catch up with some much needed rest. It was just wonderful to have breakfast and lunch at Cagney's not having to deal with the crowds when everyone else was onboard.

After breakfast, we were on our way back to our cabins and discovered that we were just a few feet away from the bridge viewing area. Just in time to watch the ship passing through the Messina Strait. Obviously everybody at the bridge were watchful and paying close attention to the ship's route.

there were at least six or seven staff there at the bridge while passing the strait

We had made arrangements with NCL to have a meeting room for our Sunday service. There was some mix-up and another group was using the room scheduled for us. Fortunately, Rochelle fixed the problem and moved us to another room but some people missed the service because they couldn't find us in the original room. We had a wonderful service with songs, sermon, and fellowship.
After the servidcde, we went to the Cruisecritic roll-call meet and greet at Le Bistro, a little late. The meet and greet was well-attended with many senior officers there. It was nice to finally meet people that we have talked to online before the trip.

After a restful afternoon, we enjoyed another dinner at the Grand Pacific.

Dinner was at Alizar. It seemed to be noisier here and service was slow. After that night we decided to just have all our dinners at Grand Pacific (except the last night at Le Bistro).

After the relaxing sea days, we were ready to be in port and explore. For the next six days we will be busy with shore excursions.
