At Sea Instead of Ajaccio, France

2019 Western Mediterranean and Transatlantic Cruises on MSC
Day 5 MSC Seaview - At Sea -- November 3, 2019

This is going to be a short one since we did not get off the ship today.

We were suppose to visit the port of Ajaccio, France today. A port we have never been before. Unfortunately, because of weather, we were notified that this will be a canceled port and will be treated as a sea day instead. A little disappointed, yes, but we were also happy that we can enjoy a relaxing day at sea on this port-intensive sailing. After the last few days spent in ports the idea of not having to go anywhere sounded appealing.

Surprised to see these beautiful persimmons at the breakfast buffet.

The sea was a little choppy, but not too bad.

Drink bar at the buffet with a really nice set up.

Part of the buffet restaurant on Seaview.

Really liked their pizza even for a person like me who don't usually like pizza. Seaview won over Divina in that area.

Enjoying a nice lunch.

MSC had a lot of activities planned for the day all around the ship. We basically went around and checked things out and participated at a couple of trivia games and crafts sessions.

DC at the soft dart game.

Fried Calamari and Shrimp Italian Style

Tuscan Soup

Roast Suckling Piglet with Myrtle, not what we were expecting.
We were expecting the Cantonese style BBQ roast piglet which has crispy skin.

It was son's birthday. He is a low key person and really didn't want all the attention so we asked the wait staff to NOT sing "Happy Birthday" and make a big fuss over it if they were planning to do so.
It turned out that they were going to do it anyway.

It was a lovely cake!

Too much dessert for the day.

These would give us enough energy for the day in Genoa tomorrow.
