2019 Transatlantic Cruises on MSC
Day 2 MSC Divina - At Sea -- November 7, 2019
Just like all the other sea days on a ship, we used this day to recuperate from the busy days we spent in port. We were able to just sleep in, enjoyed our meal time in the dining rooms, and explored this beautiful ship without having to rush and stay on schedule.
Waking up in our spacious cabin this first morning on the Divina.
BTW, TV programs and channels on Divina were not as plentiful as Seaview.
Elevator bank on deck 11, usually quiet but very convenient for us with cabins around the corner.
Garden Bar on deck 15
Garden Pool, aft of ship
It does have a resort feel.
Sky and Stars doubled as library and meeting room.
Le Sirene covered pool
Caffe Italia where we enjoyed our free coffee.
Lunch at the main dining room.
Chicken and Noodle soup
A huge starter--Butter-fried Fish Fingers
MSC Maxi Burger
Cheese cake
First Elegant Night in front of the Black Crab, our main dining room.
Shrimp cocktail
Eggplant Parmesan
Our wonderful server Rham.
Lobster Bisque
Beef Tornedos
Key Lime Pie
Chocolate Lava Cake
Coconut Tapioca Pudding
After dinner, Sis and I went to the Black and White Lounge and watched the Dancing with the Officers session.
Got our alcohol-free drinks.
Dancing with the Officers
I believe with our basic drink package, we were able to order anything under $6.00.
Then I went to the theater and watched the Welcome Onboard Show but only stayed a short while because I was getting a bit tired. Should get ready for our first port of call tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteLove to read the menus and then match them to the photos. Food looks well plated and tasty. How does the food on MSC compare, overall, to your other cruise lines?
Interesting that MSC does the Dance with the Officers and Captain's full Reception. HAL did away with those, quite a while ago.
Most enjoyable post!

Hi! I remember when we sailed MSC Splendida in 2012, their menu was very Italian. Now it's very much like any other major cruise line. There is still a difference between ships. We found that the food served on Seaview was much better than Divina. Not sure if it was because of the chefs or the quality of ingredients sent to the ships. Later on this sailing, there were times when we just gave up and not finishing our meals served. But, then after our stop at Ponta Delgada, we found the meat was much better. Not sure if it was because they received better quality meat there. I'd say MSC is comparable to other cruise lines food wise.
