Radisson Blu Plaza Sydney

Radisson Blu Plaza Sydney on O'Connell Street, CBD

Radisson Blu Plaza Sydney is located right at CBD at the corner of O'Connell Street and Pitt Street, about three blocks from Circular Quay. Very convenient and easy walk to everything. We used our Club Carlson points to redeem for the rooms which turned out to be of good value. The last I checked before leaving for Sydney, rooms were going for $400 a night during the time we were there.

As mentioned before, we arrived early and the rooms were not ready. When we came back from lunch at the Sydney Tower, our luggage were already sent to our rooms and the rooms were ready for us on the 3rd floor. Other than occassional street noise, the rooms were quiet enough for us during the night. The only draw back was the lack of views from our windows which didn't bother us much since we were out most of the time anyway. One thing that impressed me most was the staff, everyone was courteous, polite and always served with a smile.

There is no obvious signs of Radisson on the building when looking at the front. The main entrance is on O'Connell, and another smaller entrance on Pitt Street. This is the Pitt Street side of the hotel.

As Club Carlson member, we got free Wifi.

Tea kettle, tea and coffee packets were provided. There is also a refrigerator in the cabinet.

We enjoyed our stay at the Radisson and it felt like home for the two days we were there. There is a popular restaurant about half a block away on Hunter Street called Malay Chinese. They have the best laksa that we've ever had and the price is right. Heard that it's extremely busy at lunch, but not too bad at dinner time. They close at 7pm, not 7:30, so get there early!
