LAX to ICN Asiana 201 (747-400) Business

Asiana Airlines (OZ 201) Los Angeles to Incheon, South Korea, March 15, 2014

When we arrived at the boarding gate, there was a long line and boarding already started. The same young man who checked us in greeted us with a big smile at the Business Class entrance and showed us the way to the aircraft. With anticipation, we went up the stairs to the upper deck of this 747-400 and found our seats that we picked ahead of time.

This time we chose the seats that are closer to the back for easy access to the stairway, toilets, and the galley.

Our seats 11A, B, and 12A

Amenity bags, blankets, slippers, headphones already set out.

24 seats on the upper deck
Row 10 may have more leg room, but less storage space and windows.

Lots of storage space next to the windows.

Doors closed, bridge withdrawn

ready for pushback, and we were on time (12:50pm)

Leaving gate 154

taxiing over Sepulveda

As the plane went steady, the flight attendants passed out lunch and drink menus and took orders for both at the same time.

I opted for the western meal.

canapé--melon, Parma ham, and ricotta stuffed mushroom

Appetizer--prosciutto, and vegetables

warm bread

zucchini soup

Beef tenderloin with peppercorn sauce

And MOR had the Korean Meal--same canapé, this is the appetizer--some kind of wrap

pumpkin soup

meal set--Ssambap

vegetables for wrapping the rice and beef with

spicy soup

kimchee

bean paste

great cheese cake for dessert

In the middle of the flight, ramen noodle was served to those who wanted a snack. Very delicious!

About two hours before landing, a snack was served.

Appetizer--marinated shrimp

MOR had the chicken mushroom porridge

I had the potato crusted orange roughy which was very good!

Dessert--Fruit tart

Arrived at Incheon Airport at around 6pm. We had a two-hour layover between flights.

After the transit security check, we went to look for the Asiana Business Lounge. We had been here twice before, except this time the entrance has changed to the other side of the hallway. They have a new section of the lounge now, but we stayed at our familiar territory.

I was so full from the food on the plane that I did not touch anything here. I did make use of their shower room to freshen up though. We have another 10-hour flight to Sydney coming up!
