Second and Third Sea Day

2019 Transatlantic Cruise on MSC Divina
Day 10  MSC Divina - At Sea -- November 15, 2019

Please click here for video of our days at sea.

Our second day at sea. There was really nothing much to do on the ship other than enjoying the calm ocean and balmy weather, and then eat and sleep.

There were many activities planned but we did not participate in any.

After breakfast in Black Crab, we went up on deck and walked around a few times for some needed exercise. Many people claimed their deck chairs early on but they had enough for everyone.

Enjoying coffee time at the cafe before lunch.

Lunch at Black Crab again today.

Funny, I got a Spanish menu!

Filet of fish with olives and tomato sauce

Hamburger dello Chef

After our lunch we went up to check out the buffet and saw this gigantic burger on display. Not sure if they actually served this or if it was just for show.

French menu at dinner tonight.

Mussels in white wine sauce

Bouillabaisse (Marseilles Fish Soup)

Coq au Vin (Rooster in red wine sauce with creamy fettuccine)

Stewed veal bites and rice pilaf

Cherry Clafoutis

2019 Transatlantic Cruise on MSC Divina
Day 11 MSC Divina - At Sea -- November 16, 2019

The most exciting thing today would be the Neptune's Party before lunch. I believe this is suppose to be a ceremony for sailing across the equator and we have never done that route. This should be interesting to see.

List of the 12 free movies provided while crossing the Atlantic.

They did have some good sales on this ship. We've bought a few things on one of those sale days with 70% off if buying three items of the same brand.

Neptune's Party
This was not on our NCL sailing in 2017 when we had the transatlantic cruise so it was kind of fun to watch the exciting event on a boring sea day.

I was actually standing too close here.

King Neptune in his throne.

Kissing the fish.

Brave participants.

Not sure what was poured on their heads.

Shower of flour

cream on top

What a mess!

I was getting a little wet being so close, had to move to higher ground.

A crazy but fun ceremony!

Lunch menu
We didn't find anything interesting so we went up to the buffet and had a good lunch there.

Spending the afternoon watching some videos on my ipad.

Beautiful sunset!

Greek night at dinner

Greek Meatball

Roast Octopus

Chicken Soup with Lemon Juice

Roasted chicken from the everyday menu for me.

Grilled Calamari on Greek Rice

Two more sea days to go on this big ocean!

  1. I've never seen flour used at a King Neptune ceremony. Looks like a wilder party than on HAL.

Love the idea of dinners with different countries represented! Yum!

  2. LOL! This was my only experience and it was fun! Oh yes, the way they introduced dishes from different countries was quite nice. Not sure how authentic these were but interesting just the same.
